Cultivating the Next Generation — Triple F Hosts Youth for a Farm Day Out
When young agripreneurs from across Uganda arrived at Triple F Agroecology Demonstration Centre for a Farm Day Out in 2025, they came looking for more than a tour, they came looking for a blueprint. Clovis Kabaseke, the Centre’s founder and Director, opened the day with a keynote on the Triple F Model, a forest based farming system built on ecological synergy rather than extraction.
He challenged the gathering to embrace the thirteen principles of agroecology and treat mentorship as the real engine of innovation and resilience. Participants then walked the grounds themselves, moving through zero grazing livestock units, greenhouse seedling nurseries, aquaculture ponds, black soldier fly production for animal feed, indigenous microorganism based piggery units, and active vermiculture and composting stations.
A mini expo followed, where value added coffee, roasted groundnuts, peanut butter, honey, and goat milk products created real market linkages between young producers and buyers. For many attendees, the day was proof that small scale agroecology can generate genuine income, not just environmental goodwill.
